MODUS RESIDENCE

This La Mer Bungalow in Dubai is designed as a blend of modern and contemporary architectural styles. The bungalow sits on a 50m x 25m plot, utilizing every square meter to create a balanced yet dynamic living experience.

Designed by archimelior spaces and nestled within the elite La Mer Dubai, epitomizes an artful union of modern and contemporary design philosophies. Spanning a basement, ground level, and two upper floors crowned with a rooftop terrace, this residence is a testament to both architectural innovation and sophisticated living.

Expansive glass façades on south side dissolve boundaries between indoor and outdoor realms, allowing natural light to flood the interiors and highlighting the thoughtful interplay of textures and tones. Within, the residence unfolds in a sequence of fluid modern facade, open-plan spaces that encourage seamless movement and connectivity. Sustainable design elements, from energy-efficient glazing to eco-conscious landscaping, enrich the residence with an enduring commitment to environmental harmony.

The architectural elevations and sections of the La Mer Bungalow highlight a balanced composition of horizontal and vertical lines, a careful selection of materials, and a play of light and shadow.  The use of large glass surfaces is complemented by textured cladding and geometric elements, creating a sophisticated facade that speaks to both modern and contemporary design principles.

The design aims to achieve harmony between form and function, delivering an elegant yet practical living environment.

The south facade of the Modus Residence is meticulously crafted as both an artistic and functional feature, designed to protect against Dubai’s intense sunlight while enhancing the home’s aesthetic appeal.

This facade combines architectural finesse with sustainable foresight, employing deep overhangs, vertical louvers, and strategically placed shading elements. These design choices not only filter harsh sunlight, reducing heat gain within the interiors, but also create a dynamic play of light and shadow across the living spaces, transforming the facade into an evolving canvas throughout the day.

Front elevation design acts as a sculptural statement while optimizing energy efficiency. This artful blend of form and function allows The Modus Residence to maintain a cool, serene interior environment, embodying an elegant response to the challenges of Dubai’s climate.
