DESIGN NARRATIVE

Story Prompt:
In the future, new beings will emerge from existing artificial intelligence systems. They will think10,000 times faster than we do and they will regard us as we now regard plants. But this will not be the cruel, violent machine takeover of the planet imagined by science fiction. These hyper intelligent beings will be as dependent on the health of the planet as we are. A new age of human-nonhuman interdependence and cooperation will arise, and we will be partners in this project.

Return to life after seeming death.

 

Human population was suffering deteriorating health conditions due to which life expectancy of humans reduced dramatically. The natural state of Earth changed so much that majority species of flora and fauna went extinct at the rate never imagined before. The gap in ecological systems threatened human extinction in next 500 years.

 

This was the consequences of not only overexploitation of earths resources, but also its increasing cosmic age. While there are technological breakthroughs, like development of hibernation chambers, and Humanoids to upload consciousness, it was not a survival option for all of the people.

All world’s government, a last resort launched project anabiosis, which made use of robots trained in various fields of earth science. This operations involved several robots with varying sizes, each tasked with a job to support life growing in nature.

Some of them had to travel to lifeless places on Earth, to collect DNA samples of dead plants, while others create and maintain conditions optimal for the growth. Starting with an AI controlled mission, to stay unbiased and sensitive towards other species, Project Anabiosis became successful in rejuvenating a small island in Pacific with 500 disappeared plant species and aquatic life.
This generated sense of hope for revival, rebirth and rebuilding of ‘New Earth’ with AI robots. Due to this humanity started to rely on AI-human hybrid ANA, who previously lead project Anabiosis. Human now see these intelligent beings as an ideal, for creating foundations of newer human society.
